Today was a beast mode day. The kind of day where you wake up with a sharpened will to win and a "can do" attitude that helps you seize the day with intention.
Last night, I was the guest speaker at a networking event. The presentation went very well. So, this morning my adrenalin was in high from the excitement of last evening. I wanted to celebrate my succes in a different way. Not with a new outfit, or a high calorie treat, but with a new accomplishment that would put icing on my success cake.
My energy fueled me to run 5.52 miles this morning. I usually run between 3-4 miles a few days a week, but today, I decided to treat myself to a new success anchor and run longer and stronger.
I felt so good after my run that I was motivated to walk instead of drive to my client appointments today. After my appointments were done, I racked up 5.98 miles on my walking monitor. Overall, I've been on my feet for almost 12 miles today. And guess what? I feel GREAT! This kind of accomplishment can help to set the bar for your week. So, today's tip comes from my recent experience.
Start your day off with a major win in exercise. Be intentional with your plan so that you can use your accomplishment to propel you forward. You must be motivated enough to actively and consistently be involved in your own rescue. Motivation + Habit = Progress.
